Police Warned About The "Punish A Muslim" Day

NYPD Car
A few weeks ago, a letter began circulating in the U.K. that said 3 April had been designated Punish a Muslim Day. It laid out a points-based reward system for violence carried out against Muslims, including 50 points to "throw acid in the face of a Muslim" and 1000 points to "burn or bomb a mosque."

As the letter went viral on social media, there were concerns the campaign could spark violence in New York. Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams called for it to be countered by a message of tolerance.

United States President Donald Trump has issued an order supporting his push to ban most transgender troops from serving in the U.S. military except under "limited circumstances." But the decision is expected to be the subject of an ongoing legal fight in the months ahead.

The White House announced the decision last 23 March, shortly after the president arrived at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, completing a process that followed Trump's surprise announcement on Twitter last year that he would reverse an Obama administration plan to allow transgender individuals to serve openly.

"Disgusting Vile Abusers of the Dead"

Jesse Hughes
Eagles of Death Metal's Jesse Hughes, a survivor of a mass-shooting incident, branded the students of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School "disgusting vile abusers of the dead" for participating in the March for Our Lives protest.

Hughes penned his tirade in the caption of an Instagram post that mocked gun control and the efforts for stricter gun laws. "Obviously ... The best thing to do to combat chronic abusers and disregarders of the law (like the law against Murder) is to ... pass another Law," Hughes wrote. "But before we pass this law we're going to denigrate the memory and curse ourselves by exploiting the death of 16 of our fellow students for a few Facebook likes and some media attention."
